"Is this webpage / tracklist / artwork official?"
Since this project isn't the most organized thing in the world, there aren't
many "official" designations. I put together this page because it needed a page
and no one else made one. The tracklist order and cover art was decided upon by
polls on the message board.
"Will the tribute be available on CD?"
Maybe... if someone volunteers to offer it. CD-Rs won't be sold (at least, not
for more than a minimal cost for materials and shipping). This is really just a
"fan" thing, although I suppose if a small label was interested in putting it
out for real, that would be cool. Contact me or William or post on the message
board.
"What's the history on this tribute idea?"
A few of us on the message board started talking about it way back in July 2004.
I think William and Pulkmeh get credit for the idea.
William helped whip the project into shape by volunteering to take submissions,
in effect compiling the album. The deadline was eventually set for February 10,
2005. As far as I know, everyone who turned in a song by that date got their
cover on the tribute. It was finally made available late March, 2005.
